Courtney lived with her parents in different phases of their divorce when she was 7 years old. Jennifer is her twin sister, and she works as an executive in the field of advertising. She was a student at Menlo Atherton High School (Atherton, California) and Tamalpais High School (Mill Valley in California) and graduated in the year 1985. She was also a performer in the Ensemble Theater Company Mill Valley in her senior years.
